VOTER FRAUD: ANOTHER FALSE FEAR

September 17, 2012

Clearly, with Mitt Romney lagging in the polls, the right wingers are desperate to block as many ethnic minorities as possible from voting. The New York Times story below demonstrates – yet again – how conservatives try to attract support by spreading false fears.

Sometimes it’s fear of black crime creeping into white neighborhoods. Sometimes it’s fear that Muslims are trying to take over America. In this case, they’re insisting that busloads of minorities are being shipped to voter registration sites, in schemes that amount to voter fraud. It’s the equivalent of Ronald Reagan in the 1980s creating the myth of the welfare queen. Check it out.
